A missing two-year-old girl last seen more than a week ago has been found “safe and well”, police say.
Earlier on Sunday, the Australian Federal Police asked residents of three state’s to keep an eye out for A’methyst Warrior, also known as Danaya or Donaya Smith.
She had been last seen in the small South Australian town of Bute, in the Northern Yorke peninsula, on December 22.
An AFP spokeswoman said welfare concerns were held for her and her father D’rel Smith, 23, who were believed to be travelling towards Darwin or Northern Queensland.
Shortly after 4pm, the spokeswoman confirmed the pair had been located.
“The child and father have been located safe and well, the AFP won’t be providing further comment,” she said.
